As one of the seven sacraments in the Catholic Church, marriage is more than a legal contract.
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, "the sacrament of matrimony signifies the union of Christ and the Church. It gives spouses the grace to love each other with the love with which Christ has loved his Church. We greatly respect the sacrament of matrimony and desire to protect its sanctity. You will gain a more profound understanding of this covenant throughout your formation leading up to the wedding liturgy.

Marriage Prep: Witness To Love

At Blessed Sacrament Parish, we use the Witness to Love program to help support couples as they prepare to enter into the sacred covenant of Holy Matrimony (Marriage). An engaged couple pairs with a "mentor" married couple to help them \during their preparation to enter into the sacrament of marriage.
