Funeral Luncheons

One of the most rewarding ministries we offer to our parish community is funeral luncheons. A team of dedicated volunteers helps to shop, prepare, serve, and clean up lunch for families after the funeral service of their loved one. 

Our efforts allow the family a place to come together to support each other and celebrate the person's life in a casual and welcoming environment. The luncheon typically follows the burial and is held in the Friary. Volunteers can help in various ways including making phone calls to arrange for salads and desserts, donating a salad or dessert, setting the tables and preparing the food trays, serving the meal, and lastly, cleaning up and running the dishwasher. These opportunities are needed throughout the year and are based on each team member's availability.
