A Member

Welcome to Blessed Sacrament
 
We are very happy that you are interested in becoming a member of our community. We take our name of Blessed Sacrament very seriously as we seek to live as a community, as the Body of Christ. We are perhaps best described by our Mission Statement:
 
Blessed Sacrament is a community of believers
Sharing the mission of Christ,
Proclaiming God’s Word,
Building God’s Community,
Celebrating God’s presence in Liturgy,
Ministering to God’s people. 

Each and every person enhances the value of our community as we unite together to celebrate our faith in Jesus Christ. We give life to the words of our parish mission as we become “stewards, heralds, the Body of Christ, sacraments and servants.” As a Roman Catholic parish under the auspices of the Bishop of Madison, we uniquely enjoy the presence of the Dominican Order as we continue to share the Spirit in the Dominican tradition of preaching and rigorous theological inquiry. Your becoming an active part of our community of faith and mission is something we hope will enrich all of us.  
 
To become a member of our parish you will need to attend a Morning or Evening of Welcome. The dates of these evenings are listed at the end of this section. During this morning or evening we will have an opportunity to get to know each other, and we will fill you in on some of the basic information about the parish. We are “family friendly;” child care will be available. You will have an opportunity to fill out the registration form. 
 
To begin this process please call the parish office and let us know when you will be coming to a Morning or Evening of Welcome, 238-3471, Ext. 110. If any of these dates are not possible for you, you can call and arrange a meeting with me and a parish representative from the welcoming committee.

Mornings and Evenings of Welcome
     2008/2009

Mornings of Welcome are scheduled from 10:15-11:00 AM in the Friary or Church Basement & Evenings of Welcome are scheduled from 7:00-8:00 PM in the Parish Center - 2116 Hollister Avenue. 

For the Parish Center enter the building through elevator entrance, adjacent to the school on Hollister Ave., and take the elevator to the 3rd floor.  You will exit into the meeting room. Or enter through the main door and come to the top floor. The meeting will be in the St. Dominic Room.
